As being a Lubbock local, Trey’s West Texas connections run deep. His connection with FCA has been present since high school huddles at Coronado High school and going to fields of Fatih. When he arrived at Texas Tech University the FCA staff there got him connected right away, where he was serving and being apart of their weekly bible studies. The FCA heart only continued to grow post-college when he began to be asked to serve and speak at many fca events such as local huddles, camps, bible studies, banquets, etc.  The heart for Jesus, athletes, and coaches continued to grow. Trey officially joined the FCA staff in 2025. Where his focus is serving and pouring into the west Texas high schools and colleges. In simplicity Trey’s heart is that “Coaches and Athletes come to know Jesus Christ intimately.”

Trey Culver is a former professional & collegiate track and field athlete. His event was High jump, clearing an all time personal best of 7 foot 8 inches. Trey competed his collegiate track career at Texas Tech University. Decorated as a 2 time national champion, 3 time big 12 champion, 7 time All American, USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete of the Year, and  Male Academic All-American of the Year. Trey went on to a 4 year professional high jump career, where he was sponsored by Adidas and was able to travel all over the world to compete. Representing team USA twice in Canada and El Salvador.

Trey grew up in Lubbock, Texas.  Growing up Faith, Family, and Sports were close to the Culver families household. Trey’s father has been a local pastor of Rising Star Church in Lubbock Texas since 2001. His mother was always praying. Trey grew up as the oldest of 3 sons in his family. His two younger brothers JJ and Jarrett Culver have also had collegiate and professional sporting careers. Supporting his brother is one of Trey’s favorite things to do.

Trey is married to his lovely wife Emily, who is on staff with FCA as well. They love all things Jesus, sports, and family. It is their honor to serve Jesus through the work they do at FCA.
